Rendering
S.F. Rendering Ltd. processes animal by-product materials for the production of tallow, grease, and high-protein meat and bone meal. The waste inedibles are collected on a daily basis from local slaughterhouses and small abattoirs for rendering. Two main products are derived from the rendering process: fat and protein. Fat, otherwise know as tallow, accounts for around 20% of rendered inedible raw material, which can be used as a high-energy additive for animal feed or used in the manufacture of chemicals, plastics and other industrial and consumer goods. Meat and bone meal is sold into the farm services and pet food industries as an ingredient to be used for further processing.
